Draw each number once
This page works like pulling numbered balls from a bag without putting them back. It starts at 1 to 100 with the No repeats switch already on. Every spin picks a number that has not come up yet, and the wheel loses one slice each time. After 100 spins, every number has been drawn exactly once.
That makes it a fit for raffles with several prizes, calling numbers in a game, or setting a running order where nobody should get the same spot twice.
Random number generator no repeats: how to use it
- Check the range in the Options tab. It reads 1 to 100. Change Minimum and Maximum if you need something else.
- Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl + Enter.
- Note the number in the result box, then press Done. That number is already gone from the wheel.
- Spin again for the next one. The line under the options counts how many numbers are still in play.
- When the round is over, press “Put drawn numbers back” to restore everything.
What happens to drawn numbers
Each drawn number goes onto a list for this visit and is left out of the range. The info line updates, for example to “99 numbers in play”. When the last number comes out, it reads “No numbers left in this range.”
Reloading the page clears that list, so plan to finish a round in one sitting. Your skip list stays saved in local storage, while the range goes back to 1 to 100 and the switch comes back on.
Pressing Remove it in the result box also takes a number out of play, even if No repeats is switched off.
Larger ranges
You can set a range of up to one million numbers. While more than 100 numbers remain, the wheel shows 24 of them, chosen fresh on each spin, and the winner is drawn from all the remaining numbers. Once the pool drops to 100 or fewer, every remaining number gets its own slice. Either way, each number still in play has the same chance.
Ways to use it
Number calling
Set the range to 1 to 75 and call numbers one at a time. Open the Results tab to see every number called so far, in order, which doubles as a call sheet.
Raffles with several prizes
Match the range to your ticket stubs and type unsold ticket numbers into Numbers to skip. No ticket can win twice.
Running order and seating
Give each person a number and spin to set who presents first, second and third, or which seat each guest takes at dinner.
Study drills
Number 30 flash cards or quiz questions, set the range to 1 to 30, and spin through all of them in random order with no card asked twice.
Fair from the first number to the last
Each draw uses your browser’s cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues) and happens before the wheel moves. At every step, each number still in play has the same chance. The fiftieth number drawn is as random as the first.
To spin 1 to 100 where numbers are allowed to repeat, use the random number generator 1-100. To draw people instead of numbers, try the random name picker.
Frequently asked questions
How does the no repeats mode work?
After each spin, the drawn number leaves the range, so the next spin can only land on numbers that have not come up yet. This continues until every number has been used once.
What happens when every number has been drawn?
The line under the options reads 'No numbers left in this range.' Press 'Put drawn numbers back' to return them all and start a new round.
Can I use a range other than 1 to 100?
Yes. Type any Minimum and Maximum in the Options tab. Number calling games often use 1 to 75, and a raffle can match the numbers printed on your tickets.
If I reload the page, are drawn numbers remembered?
No. Drawn numbers are tracked only for your current visit, so a reload puts them all back. Your skip list is saved in the browser, and the page always opens on 1 to 100 with No repeats switched on.
Why does the wheel show only some numbers when my range is large?
When more than 100 numbers are still in play, the wheel shows 24 of them, picked fresh each spin, while the winner is drawn from all remaining numbers. Once 100 or fewer are left, every remaining number gets its own slice.
Can I see the order the numbers came out in?
Yes. The Results tab logs every draw in order, and the Copy button puts the list on your clipboard so you can paste it into a document or chat.
