    How the wheel spinner works

    1. Add your choices

Type one entry per line or paste a whole list. Names, places, chores, prizes or pictures all work.

    2. Spin the wheel

Press Spin, tap the wheel, or hit Ctrl + Enter. The pointer on the right shows the winner.

    3. Keep or remove the winner

Leave the entry in for the next spin, or remove it so nobody gets picked twice.

What you can do with it

Some wheel spinners put these behind an account or a paid plan. Here they are simply part of the tool.

    Free, with no account

No sign up, no trial, no locked settings. Open the page and spin. Your wheel is saved in your own browser and comes back the next time you visit.

    Fair by design

Winners come from your browser's cryptographic random source, not from the animation.

    Weights, labels and colors

Give an entry a bigger slice to raise its odds, and color any slice the way you like.

    Picture entries

Add photos or logos as slices. They stay on your device and are never uploaded.

    Share with a link

One link carries the whole wheel, so a class, a team or a stream chat can spin the same list.

    What is a picker wheel?

A picker wheel is a random choice tool shaped like a prize wheel. You fill it with options, spin it, and the slice that stops at the pointer is the result. People also call it a wheel spinner, a spin the wheel tool, a random wheel or a wheel of names, and some search for a picker wheel spinner or a spinner picker wheel. They all mean the same thing: a quick way to take a decision out of your hands that everyone watching can accept.

This random picker wheel runs entirely in your browser. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and the list you type stays on your device unless you choose to share it. It works the same on a phone, a laptop, a tablet or a classroom projector.

How to use the picker wheel

    1. Add your choices. Type one option per line in the Entries box, paste a list from a spreadsheet, or press a Quick list such as Names, Dinner or Numbers 1 to 10.
    2. Spin. Press Spin in the middle, tap the wheel itself, or press Ctrl + Enter on a keyboard.
    3. Read the result. The slice under the pointer on the right is the winner, and it appears in a large result box with confetti and sound.
    4. Keep going. Press Remove it to take the winner off the wheel, or Spin again to leave it in. The Results tab keeps every pick in order.

    Is the picker wheel fair?

Yes. The moment you press Spin, the winner is drawn with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, the same kind of randomness used for security keys. Only then does the wheel start to turn, and the animation is calculated to land on that result. Where you tap, how long the wheel turns and how fast you click cannot change the outcome, so every entry with the same weight has exactly the same chance. If you want some options to be more likely, give them a higher weight and their slice grows to match.

One picker wheel, many kinds of wheels

You can type anything onto this wheel, but some lists come up so often that they have their own ready-made pages. Each one opens with the right entries and options already in place.

    Name picker wheel

Teachers, team leads and raffle hosts use a name picker wheel more than anything else. Paste a class list or the names of everyone in a meeting, spin, and remove each person after they are picked so nobody is called twice. The random name picker wheel is set up for exactly this, and the wheel of names lets you add photos to each slice.

    Number picker wheel

A number picker wheel is handy for bingo, raffle tickets, seat numbers and classroom games. The random number picker wheel takes any range, skips the numbers you list, and has a no-repeats mode that draws every number once. For a quick picker wheel number between 1 and 10 or 1 and 100, open the 1 to 10 or 1 to 100 pages.

    Yes or no picker wheel

When a decision has only two answers, a yes or no picker wheel settles it in one spin. Press the Yes or no quick list above, or open the yes no picker wheel, which adds an optional Maybe slice and counts every answer so you can play best of five.

Choice, food and movie picker wheels

Most everyday arguments are about what to do next. A choice picker wheel such as the decision wheel handles any list of options. The food picker wheel comes with breakfast, lunch, dinner, takeout and dessert lists, and the movie picker wheel spins through genres or your own watchlist for movie night.

Letter, color and country picker wheels

Word games, drawing challenges and geography lessons need a different kind of list. The letter picker wheel spins A to Z, vowels or consonants. The color picker wheel lands on a named color and shows its HEX, RGB and HSL codes, or picks from all 16.7 million colors. The country picker wheel holds all 195 countries and can be narrowed to one continent.

    Team and NFL picker wheels

To choose which team goes first, put the team names on the wheel and spin. To split a whole group into even teams in one go, the team generator is faster than a team picker wheel. Sports fans can spin the NFL picker wheel with all 32 teams, filtered by conference or division, for mock drafts, pick'em games and watch parties.

    Free Instagram giveaway picker wheel

Running a giveaway? Copy the comments from your post into the Instagram comment picker. It removes duplicate usernames, can require a number of @mentions or a hashtag, and then spins a free Instagram giveaway picker wheel of the qualified entrants live, with no login and no access to your account.

Features that make the wheel your own

    • Weights. Press Weights, labels and colors to give an entry a bigger slice. A weight of 3 makes it three times as likely to win, which suits raffles where some people hold more tickets.
    • Draw without repeats. Turn on Remove each winner automatically in Settings and keep spinning until the wheel is empty. The Results tab keeps the full order so you can copy it.
    • Mystery mode. Hide every label behind a question mark, or keep the result covered until someone taps to reveal it, for prize draws and challenge games.
    • Your look. Choose a color theme or build your own, set the spin time from 1 to 30 seconds, change the sounds, add a title, a background picture, a logo in the center or a banner above the wheel.
    • Pictures. Add photos or logos as slices. They are processed on your device and never uploaded.
    • Import and export. Load a long list from a CSV or text file, export your wheel to a spreadsheet, and save your spin history as a CSV or an image.
    • Share and embed. One link carries the whole wheel, and the embed code puts the same picker wheel on a blog, a class page or a stream overlay.

Tips for using a picker wheel

In a classroom, go full screen on the projector so students can see the wheel turn; a visible spin feels fairer than a name read off a list. For a live stream giveaway, paste the entrants first, turn on mystery result, and reveal the winner on camera. At work, spin to choose who presents first or which bug to fix next, and remove each pick so everyone gets a turn. If one spin feels too final, spin five or ten times and check the Results tab, which counts how often each entry won.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is a picker wheel?

A picker wheel is an online wheel spinner that makes a random choice for you. You type your options, spin the wheel, and the slice that stops under the pointer is the result. It works for names, numbers, food, movies, chores, prizes or any other list.

How do I use the picker wheel?

Type your options in the Entries box, one per line, or press a Quick list. Then press Spin in the middle of the wheel, tap the wheel, or press Ctrl + Enter. The slice that stops under the pointer on the right is your result. Press "Remove it" to take it off the wheel or "Spin again" to keep it in.

How do I make a picker wheel?

Clear the sample entries with "Clear all", type or paste your own list, and the wheel builds itself as you type. Add a title in Settings, pick colors, weights or pictures if you like, then press the save icon to keep it in your browser or the share icon to get a link anyone can open. No account is needed.

How do I use a team picker wheel?

To pick which team goes first or which team gets a task, type the team names on the wheel and spin. To split a whole group of people into teams, open the Random Team Generator, paste the names, choose the number of teams or people per team, and press Generate teams. It makes even teams in one step and can also pick a captain for each team.

Is there a what to draw wheel picker?

Yes. The What to Draw Generator gives you a random drawing idea with every tap, and there are ready-made decks for easy things to draw, cute things to draw and what to draw when bored. You can also type your own drawing prompts on this picker wheel and spin it.

How do I spin the wheel to pick what to draw?

Type one drawing idea per line, such as subjects (a cat, a castle, a dragon), styles (cartoon, pixel art) or challenges (one line only, five minutes), and spin. For a bigger challenge, spin once for the subject and once more on a second saved wheel for the style. Press "Remove it" after each spin so the next drawing is always new.

Who should I edit? Can a picker wheel decide?

Yes. For the "who should I edit" trend, put the characters, celebrities, ships or fandoms you could edit on the wheel, one per line, and spin. Turn on Mystery wheel in Settings to hide the names until the result, which works well for a reveal on video, and remove each pick so you work through your whole list.

What is a picker wheel in Fortnite?

Fortnite players use a picker wheel to add a random twist to a match: where to drop, which weapon type to use, which skin to wear, or a challenge such as no building or pistols only. Type your options here, spin before each game, and share the wheel link with your squad. Online Picker Wheel is not affiliated with Fortnite or Epic Games.

Can I make a picker wheel for previous Fortnite seasons?

Yes. The Fortnite map and loot change every season, so we do not keep a fixed list. Type the locations, weapons or skins from the previous season you want to play, one per line, and save the wheel with the season in its name. You can keep a separate saved wheel for each season and switch between them in Saved wheels.

    Is this picker wheel free?

Yes. Weights, image entries, custom colors, saved wheels and share links are all free, and there is no account to create.

Is the random picker wheel really random?

Yes. The winner is drawn with your browser's cryptographic random number generator at the moment you press spin. Every entry has the same chance unless you give it a different weight. The animation only shows a result that is already decided fairly.

Can I use it as a name picker wheel?

Yes. Paste a list of names, one per line, and spin. Press "Remove it" after each spin so the same name is not picked twice. For a ready-made random name picker wheel with a winner title, open the Random Name Picker.

Is there a number picker wheel?

Yes. Pick "Numbers 1 to 10" under Quick lists, or open the Random Number Generator for a random number picker wheel with any range, numbers to skip and a no-repeats mode for bingo and raffles.

How do I make a yes or no picker wheel?

Press "Yes or no" under Quick lists to load a yes no picker wheel in one tap. The Yes or No Wheel page adds an optional Maybe slice and keeps a running tally of every answer.

Can I run an Instagram giveaway with the picker wheel?

Yes, for free. Copy the comments from your post into the Instagram Comment Picker. It removes duplicate usernames, can require a number of @mentions or a hashtag, and then spins a picker wheel of the entrants live.

How many entries can I add?

There is no fixed limit. Labels become hard to read past roughly 100 entries, but the wheel keeps working and still picks fairly. Lists with thousands of lines are fine.

How do I make one entry more likely than another?

Open "Weights, labels and colors" under the entry box and change the number next to an entry. An entry with weight 2 gets a slice twice as big and is twice as likely as an entry with weight 1.

How do I stop the same entry from being picked twice?

Press "Remove it" on the result, or turn on "Remove each winner automatically" in Settings. Removed entries are only hidden, so one press on "Restore removed" brings them all back.

Can I share my wheel with other people?

Yes. The share button gives you a link that holds your entries, weights, colors and settings, plus an embed code to put the wheel on your own website. Uploaded images are not included because they are too large for a link.

Can I stop the wheel myself?

Yes. Press the button in the middle while the wheel is turning and it slows down at once. Turn on "Stop the wheel myself" in Settings and the wheel keeps turning until you press Stop. Either way the result was already drawn fairly when the spin started.

    Where is my wheel saved?

In your own browser. The wheel autosaves as you type, and "Saved wheels" lets you keep several named lists. Nothing is sent to a server, so clearing your browser data also clears your wheels.

Does the picker wheel spinner work on a phone or a classroom projector?

Yes. The wheel fits any screen size, and the full screen button hides everything except the wheel, which works well on a projector or a shared screen.
