A random NFL team generator with all 32 teams
This random NFL team generator is an NFL team wheel with all 32 teams on it. Press Spin and it lands on one team, then shows the conference and division that team plays in, such as “NFC North”. It is built for moments when choosing a team yourself would be boring or unfair: starting a Madden franchise, handing out teams on draft night, or deciding which game to put on.
The teams are already loaded. There is nothing to type.
How to spin
- Press the Spin button in the middle of the wheel, click the wheel itself, or press Ctrl + Enter.
- The wheel slows down and the pointer on the right side stops on a team.
- The result box shows the team and its division.
- Choose “Done”, “Remove it” (the team leaves the wheel) or “Spin again”.
Slices show the team nickname, such as Packers or 49ers. The result shows the full name.
Filter by conference and division
The Options tab has two rows of filter chips:
- Conference: AFC, NFC
- Division: East, North, South, West
Everything is checked at first, which gives you all 32 teams. Uncheck what you do not want. The two rows work together: a team stays on the wheel only if its conference is checked and its division is checked.
- Uncheck NFC and you get the 16 AFC teams.
- Keep AFC and North only and you get the four AFC North teams.
- Keep both conferences and East only and you get eight teams: the AFC East and the NFC East.
If you uncheck every chip in a row, the wheel is empty and will not spin. Keep at least one checked in each row.
Need to drop a single club, such as your rival? Open “Choose items” below the chips, search for the team and untick it. Select all puts every team back.
What to use the NFL team wheel for
Madden franchise mode
Spin once and commit to the team you get, strong roster or not. Playing an online franchise with a friend? Filter to one division and spin twice so you both land in the same division.
Draft night with friends
Running a season-long group where everyone follows one team? Turn on “Remove each winner automatically” in Settings. Each person spins in turn, the team leaves the wheel when the result is closed, and nobody ends up with a duplicate. With 32 teams you can cover a big group, or give four people eight teams each.
You can change the filters between picks. Teams that are already taken stay off the wheel.
Pick’em for bragging rights
Each friend spins for a team to root for this week. Whoever’s team has the best Sunday chooses the snacks next time.

Fair picks, visible history
The winner is drawn with the browser’s cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues) before the wheel moves. All teams left on the wheel have equal odds. There are no weights.
The Results tab counts how many times each team has come up and lists every pick with its number. The Copy button puts the list on your clipboard, which is handy for posting draft results in a group chat.

Frequently asked questions
How many teams are on the random NFL team generator?
All 32 teams are on the wheel: 16 from the AFC and 16 from the NFC, grouped into eight divisions of four.
Can I spin for only AFC or only NFC teams?
Yes. In the Options tab, uncheck the conference you do not want. The wheel drops to the 16 teams of the other conference.
How do I get a wheel with a single division?
Keep one conference chip and one division chip checked. AFC plus North, for example, leaves only the four AFC North teams on the wheel.
How do I make sure no two people get the same team?
Turn on 'Remove each winner automatically' in Settings. A team leaves the wheel as soon as its result is closed, so the next person spins only among the teams that are left.
Is every NFL team equally likely to be picked?
Yes. No team is weighted. The winner is drawn with the browser's cryptographic random generator before the wheel starts moving.
Can I send my NFL team wheel to a group chat?
Yes. Use the share button under the wheel to get a link. It carries your conference and division filters, so everyone who opens it sees the same set of teams.
