A raffle generator you run in front of everyone
Paste the names of everyone who bought a ticket, press Spin, and draw winners one at a time. This raffle generator is a name wheel set up for prize draws. Each winner comes off the wheel automatically, people with more tickets can get bigger slices, and the full screen button lets a whole room or stream watch. It is free and needs no account.
How to draw raffle winners
- Open the Entries tab and replace the ten sample names with your entrants, one per line.
- Press Remove duplicates if the same name was pasted twice by mistake. If two real people share a name, add a last initial first so they both stay.
- Give extra tickets with weights if you need them (see below).
- Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl + Enter.
- The dialog shows “Raffle winner” and the name. Press Done to close it, or Spin again to draw the next winner right away.
Because removal is on, every closed result takes that winner off the wheel, whichever button you press.
Extra tickets with weights
In many raffles, one person buys five tickets and another buys one. Here is how to set that up:
- Press “Weights, labels and colors”. Each name turns into a row with a weight box.
- Type the number of tickets into each person’s weight. Leave single ticket buyers at 1.
- The wheel redraws with slices sized by tickets.
A person with weight 5 is five times as likely to be drawn as a person with weight 1. When they win, all five tickets leave the wheel with them, so nobody wins two prizes by accident.
You could type a name on five lines instead. The chances would be the same, but each line is a separate slice. When one of those lines wins, only that line is removed and the other four stay on. Weights avoid that.
Settings worth checking before the draw
- Title. Add a title like “School Fun Run Raffle” in Settings. It shows above the wheel and replaces “Raffle winner” at the top of each result.
- Spin time. A longer spin, around 8 to 12 seconds, builds suspense in a room.
- Mystery wheel. Hide all names so the audience only learns the winner when the result appears.
- Share link. Send the wheel to a co-organizer. The link keeps the names, weights and settings.
Raffles this works for
School and club fundraisers
Paste the ticket list from your sign up sheet and draw prizes from smallest to largest, ending with the grand prize.
Office holiday parties
Everyone gets one entry. Project the wheel, turn on confetti, and draw door prizes between activities.
Online giveaways
Copy the names of people who entered, go full screen on your stream, and draw live. Post the copied results list afterward.
Charity events with ticket bundles
Supporters who bought a bundle of 10 get a weight of 10. The wheel shows at a glance who holds the most tickets.
A fair draw
Each winner is chosen with your browser’s cryptographic random generator before the wheel starts turning, weighted by tickets if you set them. The Results tab logs every winner in order, with a Copy button. Your list stays in this browser and is not sent anywhere.
Related tools
Once you have your winners, let them spin the prize wheel to see what they get. To draw ticket numbers instead of names, use the random number generator with no repeats.
Frequently asked questions
Can one person win the raffle twice?
Not with the default settings. 'Remove each winner automatically' is on for this wheel, so a winner leaves as soon as you close the result. Turn it off in Settings only if repeat winners are allowed.
How do I give someone extra tickets?
Press 'Weights, labels and colors' and set that person's weight to the number of tickets they bought. A weight of 5 gives five times the chance of a weight of 1, and the slice grows to match.
Why use weights instead of typing a name several times?
Each typed line is its own slice, so only that one line is removed when it wins and the person's other lines stay on the wheel. With a weight, all of a person's tickets leave together.
How do I draw several winners in a row?
Press 'Spin again' in the result dialog. The current winner is removed first, then the wheel spins for the next prize. The Results tab keeps the order of every draw.
Can I prove the draw was fair?
Run it where people can see it, ideally in full screen or on a stream. Every winner is picked by the browser's cryptographic random generator, and the Results tab gives you a numbered list to copy and post.
How many entrants can I add?
There is no fixed limit. With hundreds of names the labels become too small to print on the slices, but the result dialog always shows the full winning name.
