This lottery number generator makes random quick pick style numbers for common game formats or for a format you set yourself. Choose a format, pick how many lines you want, and press Generate numbers. The balls appear in sorted order, with any bonus balls shown at the end.

Before anything else: no generator changes your odds. In a fair lottery draw every combination is equally likely, and these numbers are no more likely to win than any others. They are random picks for fun, not predictions or a strategy. Please do not spend more than you can afford, or treat any lottery as a way to make money.

How to use the lottery number generator

1. Choose a Game format from the menu.
2. Set Lines, from 1 to 10.
3. Press Generate numbers.
4. Read each line. Main numbers come first, and bonus numbers are styled differently at the end.
5. Press Copy numbers to copy every line as plain text, such as “4 11 23 38 41 + 9”.

Your format and line count are saved in this browser for next time.

Game formats

The presets copy the number ranges these formats use. Games change their rules from time to time, so check the official rules for your game.

Custom

Choose Custom to enter Main numbers (how many to draw, up to 20), From 1 to (the highest main number, up to 99), Bonus numbers (0 to 5) and Bonus from 1 to. A school fair draw of 4 numbers from 1 to 30 is easy to set up this way.

Why the odds never change

Every ball in a fair draw has the same chance, and past draws have no effect on future ones. “Hot” and “cold” numbers are patterns people see in random results, and they predict nothing. A line like 1 2 3 4 5 6 is exactly as likely as any other line, even though it looks less random.

The odds are also long. In a 6 from 49 game there are 13,983,816 possible lines, so any single line has a 1 in 13,983,816 chance of matching all six numbers.

Uses that do not involve buying anything

• Classroom probability. Generate 10 lines of 6 from 49, look for runs or repeated numbers, and talk about why matching all six is so rare.
• Party prize draws. Give each guest a numbered ticket, then generate one custom line to pick several winners.
• Raffle rehearsal. Try out a custom format before an event to make sure the ranges fit your tickets.
• Unique numbers for anything. Need 6 different numbers from 1 to 49 for a seating plan, a puzzle or a game? One line does it.

How the numbers are picked

Each number is drawn with your browser’s cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues). Main numbers in a line never repeat, and bonus numbers come from their own pool. Nothing is predicted, weighted or tuned.

For draws one number at a time, the random number generator with no repeats works like pulling balls from a bag.
