A random deck of never have I ever questions

This page deals never have I ever questions one at a time, at random, so nobody has to think up the next one on the spot. Each card starts with “Never have I ever” and names something a person may or may not have done, like “Never have I ever built a sandcastle.” Players who have done it own up. It works for sleepovers, family nights, classroom breaks and parties where you want a game with no setup.

The deck has 156 prompts, and all of them are clean.

    How to use the deck

    1. Gather your players and agree on how you will keep score (see below).
    2. Press Next, the space bar or the right arrow key to draw a prompt.
    3. Read it out loud. Anyone who has done the thing reacts.
    4. Press Next again for the following card. Previous takes you back one.

A counter under the card shows how many prompts are left. You will not get a repeat until the deck runs out, and then it shuffles itself and keeps going. Start over clears the Seen so far list and shuffles a fresh deck.

    Ways to play without drinking

You do not need drinks to play. Pick one of these:

    • Ten fingers. Everyone holds up ten fingers. If a prompt is true for you, put one finger down. Last person with a finger up wins.
    • Points. Score one point each time a prompt is true for you. The player with the fewest points after 20 cards wins, or the most, if your group prefers to reward adventures.
    • Tokens. Hand out ten buttons, coins or candies each. Pay one into the middle when a prompt is true for you.

A good house rule: whoever puts a finger down can tell the short story behind it. That is where most of the laughs come from.

    The two filter chips

    • General (82 prompts). Childhood, pets, food, school, small mishaps. “Never have I ever talked to a pet like it was a person.” Good for mixed ages.
    • Adults (74 prompts). Work, money, travel and home life, still clean.

Both chips are on at first. Turn one off to narrow the deck. The page remembers your choice in this browser. If you only want the grown up set, the never have I ever questions for adults page shows just those 74.

    Good times to use it

    Sleepovers

Keep only General on and let a different kid press Next each round.

    Family dinners

Grandparents and kids can play together. The General prompts cover things every age can answer.

    Classroom brain breaks

Project the page, have students stand up, and sit down when a prompt is true. Five cards take about two minutes.

    Road trips

One passenger reads from a phone. Use the finger method so the driver does not need to keep score.

    Is the order fair?

The deck is shuffled with your browser’s cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), so nobody can stack it toward a prompt that singles someone out. Everything runs in the browser, for free, with no account. For a game that adds dares, try truth or dare questions.

    Frequently asked questions

How many never have I ever questions are in this deck?

There are 156 prompts. 82 are in the General set and 74 are in the Adults set, and you can show either set or both with the filter chips.

How do you play never have I ever without drinking?

Everyone holds up ten fingers and puts one down each time a prompt is true for them. The first person with no fingers left is out, or you can play with points or tokens instead.

Are these questions clean enough for kids?

Yes. The General set is about everyday things like camping, pets, school and food. The Adults set is clean too, but it is about work, bills and travel, so younger players may not relate to it.

Will I see the same prompt twice?

Not until you have seen every prompt in your current filter. Then the deck reshuffles on its own and starts again.

Can I go back to the last prompt?

Yes. Press Previous or the left arrow key to step back. Every prompt you have drawn also stays in the Seen so far list next to the card.
